The Mach E does not come with a 10a Type 2 charger, they can be purchased here. These will charge at 8 amps and will take around 75 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
On a full charge the range of the RWD model has a maxumum range of 440km and 490km on the AWD model. There are a couple of options for charging faster at home.
  1. The 16A T2 charger with the Blue Cee plug. Great if you have a 16A socket. If you don’t have one get a quote from your local electrician to have one installed. This will double your charge speed and add around 20km range per hour
  2. The other faster option are the wall mount chargers that can be mounted outside. Such as the  32A Wall mounted charger with included cable. This will add around 40km per hour of range

Ford Mustang Mach E Charge times

The standard charger will add around 10km per hour when plugged in to a home socket. This could be enough for some users, it depends on how many km you drive each day. The 32a wall chargers will add 40km per hour.

Estimate charge timing comparison from 20% to 80%. After 80% charging can slow depending on the temperature of the batteries, also as the battery gets full the car balances the cells so charging will slow as it approaches 100%

There is a couple of ways to charge your Mach E in public.

CCS fast charger. This is a DC charger and will charge your car from 20% to 80% in 45min. No need to bring a cable as the charging station has this hard wired. To used these public stations download the Chargenet App or if charging at a Z station download Open loop via App Store or Google Play.

Type 2 Public charger such as the Free Orion chargers or the ones you find a super markets, malls, gyms, hotels and public carparks. Most of these chargers you need to bring your own cable.

Charging your Mach E from a public Type 2 Mennekes charger.

You will need one of our Type 2 to Type 2  3 phase charge cables to make use of these chargers. The Mach E can charge up to 11kW from the Type 2 Socket.

The majority of free public chargers use the Type 2 Socket, so this cable will allow you to use the chargers. Note Some public charges have a Type 2 hard wired so a cable is not needed 100% of the time. If you already have a Type 1 charger at home we can supply an adapter so you can charge your Mach E and Japanese import EV from the same charger.
