1. Product Warranty

Smart EV Chargers warrants that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the following periods from the date of purchase:

Home / residential customers: 3 years
Business customers: 1 year

2. What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and installation. It does not cover:

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or modification
    Damage caused by electrical faults, surges, or conditions outside the product’s rated specifications
    Normal wear and tear
    Cosmetic damage that does not affect function
    Products with removed or altered serial numbers

3. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Email us with proof of purchase and a description of the fault. We may ask for photos or further information before authorising a return or replacement.

4. Our Remedy

At our discretion, we will repair, replace, or provide a credit for any product we confirm is defective under this warranty. We aim to resolve warranty claims within 10 working days of receiving the returned product.

5. Business Customers

If you are purchasing goods for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to your purchase. Our liability to business customers is limited to the original purchase price of the goods. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, economic, or loss of profit damages arising from product defects or failure, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Installation

EV chargers must be installed by a registered electrician in accordance with NZ wiring rules and applicable standards. Warranty may be voided if installation does not meet these requirements.

RETURNS
To return a product please get in touch. 

  • Ordered the wrong product and want to swap? 
    Return it to us with the original packaging and we will swap it for you.
    Must be with in 90 days or ordering. Item must be in brand new condition with no scratches or marks so we can sell it as new. 
    We will charge the cost of the courier if we need to send another one out. 

  • Just want a refund?
    Return the product back to us in new un-used condition with all original packaging. We will refund minus the courier we paid and the credit card fee 3% (if the payment was with credit card).
