Type B RCBOs are the one to pay attention to. AC charging can produce smooth DC residual current that a standard Type A RCD won’t detect, so NZ wiring rules require either a Type B device or a charger with built-in RDC-DD protection. All our Smart EV chargers have a built in RCD-DD so only require the cheaper Type A RCBO

Cable holders and wall hooks keep a 5–8m cable off the ground, out of the weather and away from being driven over. Carry bags keep a portable charger and cable together and clean in the boot — small thing, noticeably better than a tangle in the spare wheel well.
