The Enyaq Sportline and Coupe both have a 77kWh battery pushing 534km WLTP range. We will cover off some charging times and what sort of cable to use for public charging below for both vehicles as they have the same charging and battery specifications.

To fully charge the vehicle overnight we recommend investing in a Smart EV wall charger. The Enyaq has an onboard 11kW ac charger and supports up to 135KW DC charging. At the bottom of the page we have recommend chargers for the and charge times.

Estimate charge timing comparison from 10% to 100%. Generally you do not arrive home with 0% charge remaining.
The last 5% slows down as the cells are balanced so the time below is an estimate.

Public charging with the Skoda Enyaq

There two types of public chargers; DC CCS fast charger and AC chargers.

The CCS charger. This is a DC fast charger; these chargers have the cables attached so there is no need to bring your own.
To use these public stations download the following apps Chargenet Meridian AppShell App and BP app for more head to our full public charging guide.

The Enyaq supports up to 135kW DC charging, this will charge the car from 0% to 80% in around 28min. Charging after 80% does slow down, so for you are better to split the charging up for longer trips. Espacially as most NZ charger operators charge by the kWh and minute.

Type 2 Public AC chargers like the ones you find a super markets, malls, hotels & Motels. You will need to bring your own cable for these. Plug share will show the chargers in your area and you can see what sort of cables are needed.

What sort of cable do I need for Public charging?

We recommend a 22kW Type 2 to Type 2 cable to make use of the faster 11kW charging speeds.
The majority of free public chargers use the Type 2 Socket, so this cable will allow you to use the chargers. Note Some public charges have a Type 2 hard wired so a cable is not needed 100% of the time.

Recommended chargers for the Enyaq

If you have 3 phase at home you can get the Tron 22kW charger, this will only provide slightly increased speed over the standard 7kW charger allowing you to charge at 11kW reducing your time to charge from 10% to 100% by 4 hours.

Most homes only have single phase so our 7kW home charger suits most peoples needs. If you want to make the most of night rates and scheduled charging then our smart chargers can do this. Our chargers also have Solar Diversion to charge your EV5 with Solar.

You can choose from the version with a socket on the front and buy a separate cable that can be used for public charging. Or get the version with the cable attached.
