Sony STARVIS 2 — Both Channels

Both cameras use the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor — Sony’s flagship 8MP automotive sensor. This is the same sensor used in the front cameras of premium dash cams like the A229 Pro and A329S. By putting it in both channels, the A229 Ultra delivers reduced noise, better motion clarity, and significantly improved low-light performance from every angle of your vehicle.
Particularly important at night — most rear cameras suffer badly in low light, with grainy footage where headlights bloom and details disappear. The STARVIS 2 sensor maintains detail and clarity where lesser cameras turn to noise.

5GHz Wi-Fi & Direct USB-C Transfer

Built-in 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi lets you preview and download footage to your phone wirelessly via the VIOFO app. For larger 4K transfers, you can also connect your phone directly to the camera with a USB-C cable for speeds up to 20MB/s — useful when you need to share dash cam footage immediately after an incident.

Quad-Mode GPS

Three Parking Modes (with HK4 Hardwire Kit)
