The Leapmotor C10 is a mid-size electric SUV built on Leapmotor’s Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) platform. It’s offered with a 69.9kWh LFP battery (420km WLTP), and a newer 81.9kWh 800V pack in the Design Long Range (510km) and AWD (437km) models. Whichever you choose, the onboard AC charger is 6.6kW, so a single-phase wall charger is all you need at home — a three-phase charger won’t charge it any faster. Being LFP, you can charge to 100% every day.

Public charging with the Leapmotor C10 (NZ)

DC fast charging (CCS2)

The 69.9kWh C10 supports up to 84kW DC (30–80% in ~30 min), while the 81.9kWh 800V Design LR and AWD step up to 180kW DC (30–80% in ~22 min). Charging slows after 80%, so on longer trips you’re better to split charging up. DC chargers have cables attached — no need to bring your own.

Public AC charging (Type 2)

Type 2 public AC chargers are found at supermarkets, malls, hotels and motels — you’ll need to bring your own cable for these.

What cable do I need for public AC charging?

We recommend a Type 2 to Type 2 cable in 5m. Every C10’s maximum AC charge speed is 6.6kW, so a standard single-phase 32A cable delivers full speed. The majority of free public chargers use a Type 2 socket; some have a cable hard-wired, so a cable isn’t needed 100% of the time.

A 7.4kW (32A) single-phase wall charger. It delivers the C10’s full 6.6kW onboard AC rate and charges it overnight. This applies to every variant — the 69.9kWh and the 81.9kWh 800V models both cap AC at 6.6kW, so a 22kW three-phase charger gives no benefit.

No. Every C10 charges at a maximum of 6.6kW on AC, which a normal single-phase 32A charger delivers in full. Three-phase would be wasted on this car, regardless of battery size or drivetrain.

Around 10 hours from 10–100% for the 69.9kWh on a 32A (6.6kW) wall charger, or about 12.5 hours for the larger 81.9kWh battery. The included 8A plug-in cable takes far longer, so a wall charger is well worth it.
