The VIOFO 10M Coaxial Rear Cable for A329S is an extended-length replacement cable for VIOFO A329S, A329T, and A329 series dash cams — designed for vehicles where the standard 6m cable doesn’t reach.
When You Need a Longer Cable
Every A329S 2CH and A329T 2CH ships with a 6m rear camera cable as standard. This is sufficient for most sedans, hatchbacks, and small SUVs, but for larger vehicles the standard cable can fall short. At 10 metres, this cable provides ample reach for the largest passenger vehicles and most commercial applications:
- Large SUVs and people-movers: Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9, Kia Carnival, Hyundai Palisade, Land Cruiser
- Utes with canopies or hardlids: where the rear camera mounts on the canopy rear glass
- Vans: Toyota Hiace, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter
- Motorhomes and caravans: where the rear camera needs to reach the back of a long vehicle
- Trailer-towing vehicles: with the rear camera mounted on a trailer or boat
- Limos, stretched vehicles, and modified utes
Coaxial Cable — Higher Quality Signal
Unlike the standard 4-pin cables used by the A229 series, the A329S series uses coaxial cables designed specifically to carry the higher-bandwidth signal required for 4K rear video and SSD storage operations. Coaxial cables provide better shielding against electromagnetic interference, lower signal loss over long distances, and more reliable performance for the data-heavy A329S architecture.
This is why the A329S series can support higher rear camera resolutions and SSD storage — the coaxial cable architecture has the bandwidth headroom that older 4-pin designs don’t.
Compatible With
This cable is specifically designed for the A329 and A329S series:
- A329S 1CH, 2CH, 3CH
- A329T 2CH, 3CH
- A329 2CH
- A329SW, A329TW, A329WW (waterproof variants)
- RC420 2K HDR rear camera (sold separately)
- RTC420 2K HDR telephoto camera (sold separately)
Not compatible with the A229 Plus, A229 Pro, A229 Ultra, or any A119 series — those use a different 4-pin cable. For A229 Plus/Pro rear cameras, you need the 8M or 10M Rear Camera Cable for A229 Plus/Pro.
Better Than Joining Two Cables
Some installers try to extend a standard cable using a third-party joiner or splice — this is a bad idea, and even worse with coaxial cables than with regular 4-pin cables. Every connection introduces signal loss and potential failure points. With coaxial signals carrying high-bandwidth 4K data, a poor join can cause intermittent video drops, distorted recordings, or complete rear camera failure. A single continuous cable from VIOFO is the correct solution: factory-terminated connectors at both ends, no splices, no signal degradation.
What’s Included
- 1 × 10 metre coaxial rear camera cable
- VIOFO proprietary coaxial connectors at both ends
Ideal For
- Owners of large vehicles where the standard 6m cable is too short — utes with canopies, large SUVs, vans, motorhomes
- Trailer/boat applications where the rear camera mounts on a towed unit
- Anyone planning a careful installation with extra slack for routing around airbags and trim
- Replacement for damaged original cables
- Commercial fleet installs where cable runs are long and need to be done properly
