They are not needed with our in cable chargers as they have them built in.
The Residual Current Circuit breaker RCCBs are the safest device to detect and trip against electrical leakage currents, thus ensuring protection against electric shock caused by indirect contacts.
These are recommended by Worksafe to be installed when hard wiring a EV charger. This is because when charging if there was a fault with the EV it could send DC currents back in to the main board. This will blind the Type A breaker meaning it will not break the circuit when needed.
